3. With regard to awareness and promotion of the Angkor site among national and international visitors         alike, the Committee recommends that:

1. Attention be drawn to the outstanding international cooperation in world heritage safeguarding that has developed on the Angkor site over the past decade. This world first merits being publicized by means of explanatory billboards at the site gates;
2. At the same time, negative information such as site de-mining activities in Cambodia be avoided, as it could needlessly frighten tourists even when no further danger exists.
