THE TONLE SAP:
The Tonle Sap is classified as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve due to the totally unique feature of its water pattern, fish resources, biological and ecological specificities, as well as the way of life and cultural heritage of the communities whose subsistence depends on it. Accordingly, any project that involves the banks of the Tonle Sap must see to maintaining the balance between natural values, cultural traditions and human and social aspects, in this way ensuring sustainable development.
