Preservation of cultural landscapes:
The ICC-Angkor recalls the importance of cultural landscapes in Angkor Park and the necessity of preserving them.
It strongly recommends, for any new project related to the electricity supply, that bothersome utilities be avoided, as they could, on the one hand, disturb archaeological soils and, on the other hand, disfigure the overall view of the site.
In any case, a preliminary consultation with the ad hoc experts by the APSARA National Authority is recommended.
