5. THIRD TERRACE OF THE BAYON:

The ad hoc group of experts (both for conservation and sustainable development) recommends the following to the APSARA National Authority and its partners from the Japanese JASA mission:
a) Temporarily close off the third terrace to all visitors.
b) Draw up a map showing the risks and damage situations on the third terrace, the surrounding area and central tower, showing where there is a danger of stones being displaced.
c) Based on the said risk map and detailed surveys of zones that are potentially dangerous for the public, develop an emergency consolidation and restoration program for the said at-risk zones.
d) Finally, develop a new tour itinerary after the work is completed to protect the stone from weathering due to the treading of visitors.
