14. Restoration of the ancient Oroka Canal:

The Ad Hoc groups of experts:

14.1 consider drawing up a project to dredge and refill with water this canal as useful, not only for the locals and neighboring people, but also to uphold a documented historical route.

14.2 the route and the filling material are precious archaeological remains which require careful archaeological investigations including surface collections of artefacts and archaeological surveys before any work on the project is started.

14.3 moreover, even if the backfill has to be levelled, damage to the original remains must be minimized.

14.4 consequently, the Ad Hoc groups of experts recommend a site visit when possible in order to assess the scope of the dredging work and of the restoration work of the embankments.
