3. Bakong Temple

It is found that this temple and its annexes have suffered deformations due notably to the intrusion of the roots of the trees and the action of water runoff.
However, the visit made it possible to discuss on the spot, in addition to a number of details on the reinforcement of the doors and their jambs and the consolidation of the stucco work, a general recommendation to:
a) Carry out pruning of trees that are known to affect the stability of the towers,
b) Install monitoring devices in cracked areas and analyze the potential need for intervention on the structure,
c) Cover the entrances with moonstone whose carved decorations risk being rubbed off by the flows of visitors,
d) Coordinate the restoration activity carried out on the towers by ANA and by GACP.
