5. Banteay Kdei Temple
The progress of restoration operations on the west gate of Banteay Kdei Temple, an imposing Buddhist structure of the 12th century, is considered quite outstanding.
The ad hoc experts group is pleased with the quality of the work carried out on the basis of the risk map, a 3D survey and a block reassembly model.
It is recommended to carry out anastylosis work for the restoration of the western gate of the temple and, with that in mind, to submit a detailed file for evaluation at the next session of the ICC.
