4. The experts made several technical recommendations including:

• Address the issue of water in a focused, in-depth manner;
• Develop and expand geophysical studies and investigations;
• Assess to what extent structural disorders observed at the temples are attributable to a weakness in the foundations;
• Conduct consultations on anastylosis in Angkor;
• Develop substitute technologies;
• Develop and scale up techniques to consolidate the stones;
• Strengthen knowledge on side effects from the use of cement;
• Manage vegetation and launch a proper landscape management policy for the entire site.
