The committee wishes to pay tribute to the Government of Japan, the donor, and to UNESCO, the administrator of the large training program for archaeologists and architects at the Royal University of Fine Arts.
This program, run over a decade, had remarkable outcomes and has enabled the APSARA National Authority, the contracting Authority in Angkor, to strengthen the skills and professionalism of executives in charge of archaeology, architectural conservation and site developments in the view of a sustainable development.
In order to support this significant training program at RUFA, which should keep going, the committee calls for urgently needed contributions from States, Universities, public and private Institutions, as well as donors.
